Modelling on the Stand

I have started a new brief in college, which is all about creating a sustainable outfit. 

As part of the brief, I have to model on the stand. I learnt how to pattern a bodice block on a mannequin.

 

I also learnt how to pattern for a cowl neck on a mannequin. The cowl didn't work very well in the calico. It works better with a lighter fabric which drapes.

I prefer paper patterning to the patterning on the mannaquin. I find it easier to flat pattern, although I can see the benefits of patterning on the mannaquin. You can see how it will look in its 3D form.
