Eco-Fashion Collection

Miyake collaborated with scientist Jun Mitani to create this collection. He was inspired by sustainability to create this fashion line. He used fleece like fabrics that were made from recycled plastic bottles and placed several snaps on the garments. This allowed them to be worn in a variety of ways for different occasions. Thus making them recyclable. His main aim was to create a series of sustainable garments that were innovative.
Using a software which generates formulas to construct 3D geometric shapes, Miyake created his garments.
I think this collection is interesting. It has a futuristic look and I like the structure the garments have. I think is very clever how they are constructed and that they can be worn in different ways.
