I have decided to create a neck piece out of animal bones. I experimented with how to arrange them.
I think it looks better when they are more clustered together.

Design Development 2
I have continued to develop my design for my final garment and have decided to only make a bodice and neckpiece.
Singing In The Rain
Last Saturday, I went the Opera House in Manchester to see "Singing In The Rain". The musical was amazing and funny. It had great costumes that were colourful and glamorous.
It is based on the classic Gene Kelly movie. The production stars former principal of the Royal Ballet Adam Cooper in the role of silent screen star Don Lockwood, alongside Stephane Annelli as Cosmo and Louise Bowden as Kathy.
CAD Lessons
I am doing a CAD (Computer Aided Design) brief at college, which runs along side my other briefs. Each Friday I have to carry out a CAD exercise. For this one I had to create a house.

Design Development
This new brief involves making a sustainable outfit. I used Tim Burton movies as inspiration.
It has cut out areas on the top, which will have pleated fabric behind to create the look of exposed ribs. I sampled making the neck piece out of wire, which I think works quite well.
